The presses at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's printing facility just of Interstate 20 in Edgecliff Village ran for the final time Saturday night. Beginning Sunday night, the Star-Telegram started printing at the Dallas Morning News' press facility in Plano, TX.
It's purely an economic move by the Star-Telegram, which is owned by McClatchy. The Star-Telegram said the massive property south of downtown Fort Worth will be put up for sale.
The Star-Telegram announced the move in November, saying that it would lay off 75 full-time and 200 part-time printing and distribution workers.
