A 40-year-old Secaucus (NJ) company that says it prints 1.5 million books a day will soon close and lay off 105 employees, the latest victim of the shift towards digital media that is transforming the publishing industry. Command Web Offset Co., a division of McNaughton Lithograph Co. Inc., that prints soft cover books, directories, catalogs and other publications, said it will close on Nov. 15, and will sell its assets.
The company will lay off pressmen, material handlers, managers and other employees, according to a letter filed with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development in line with the
