Charles W. Hillman, 83, longtime chairman and former president of the Mossberg & Co. printing firm, died Sunday afternoon at Memorial Hospital. Hillman was born and raised in South Bend and lived here nearly his entire life. He started working at Mossberg printing in 1957. The privately held printing company was co-founded by his father-in-law, Herman Mossberg, in 1930.
Charles Hillman served as Mossberg president from 1979 to 1994, and remained chairman of the company until his death.
